How to Infuse Rose in Sweet Almond Oil (Mason Jar Method)
Ingredients:
Fresh or dried rose petals
Organic sweet almond oil
Clean mason jar with lid
Cheesecloth or fine strainer
(Dried petals are preferred for longer shelf life)
Instructions:
Prepare the Petals
If using fresh petals, allow them to wilt or air-dry for 24–48 hours to reduce moisture.
Fill the Jar
Loosely fill a mason jar ½ to ¾ full with rose petals.
Add Oil
Pour sweet almond oil over petals until completely submerged, leaving 1 inch of headspace.
Seal & Label
Seal the jar and label with contents and date.
Infuse
Place the jar in a warm, dark spot for 4–6 weeks, gently shaking every few days.
(Optional quick method: warm water bath on low heat for 2–3 hours, keeping water below the lid.)
Strain
Strain through cheesecloth. Let drip for 20–30 minutes, then gently squeeze.
Store
Transfer to a clean, dark glass bottle.
Shelf life: ~6–12 months (add vitamin E to extend freshness)
